Ashok Kumar Sharma I.P.S (Retd)

A.K. Sharma, hailing from Muktsar, Punjab, took on family responsibilities early after his father’s untimely demise, managing farms while excelling academically. A voracious reader and exceptional student, he pursued a B.Sc. but found his true calling in law, believing it to be a tool for empowering the common man. Graduating in law from Delhi University, he discovered the UPSC Civil Services, clearing the IRS in his first attempt and later the IPS, joining the 1981 batch. Over a distinguished 35-year career, he rose to Additional Director General of Police, Maharashtra, earning the President’s Police Medals for Meritorious (2000) and Distinguished Services (2007). Post-retirement, he advised corporate entities in telecom and banking on systems, S.O.P.s, and stakeholder resolution. Reflecting on his journey, he values “listening” as the cornerstone of harmony and effective solutions. Disillusioned by systemic inefficiencies, Ashok aims to leverage his experience to improve dispute resolution and advance the mission of “Access to Justice.”

Ajit Sharma (M.B.A, LL.B Government Law College)

A curious child, Ajit’s habit of asking endless questions sparked his interest in diverse fields. Growing up in a bureaucratic environment, he gained early insights into governance and deepened his understanding through the study of Polity, the Constitution, and Political Science. Influenced by Mumbai’s business ecosystem, he pursued Commerce and Economics, recognizing its pivotal role in shaping society. Starting his entrepreneurial journey in 2016, he experienced firsthand the challenges of business ownership and the disruptions caused by disputes, which often diverted energy from growth. Observing the inefficiencies of traditional legal processes, Ajit explored the field of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), inspired by its potential to address systemic issues in the legal system. Advances in Legal Tech fueled his vision, leading to the creation of *Bharat Solve*—a platform rooted in law and technology, designed to provide cost-effective, efficient, and people-centric solutions for out-of-court dispute resolution. To Ajit, Mediarti represents an ecosystem that integrates commerce, society, psychology, and technology, offering simplified and human-focused solutions to real-world problems.
